Infinity Landscape Architects developed a strong working relationship with the School across a six-year period from 2018-2024. Our role was to consider branding, legibility/wayfinding, transition nodes, safety, educational links between curriculum and landscape, spaces for rest and play, cultural references and maintenance. Infinity Landscape Architects was responsible for delivering over $1.4 million of landscape construction works over 4 stages.
Truganina P-9 College is situated in the heart of Melbourne’s west, an area acknowledged for its cultural richness. Noted behaviours and conversations with some students suggests they have limited understanding of what constitutes a ‘garden’ and it is highly likely that the new school landscaping will foster knowledge and an appreciation of concepts surrounding gardens, artworks & landscapes. The College’s landscape now provides an enhanced sensory and mental immersion in the modern Australian landscape affording a vastly difference experience to the origins of many in the school community.
